My Art Exhibition in Tooting Leisure Centre, London

On 1st April, I drove down to London, which was very frustrating, both mentally and physically. I took art work that was easy to exhibit and dismantle easily.

First boxer to arrive was Tyrone Williams. He was fighting for the 'Guvnor ' title. He was a true gentleman and we exchanged pleasantries. He was very interested in my work, especially, the Lenny Maclean.

Next to arrive was a gentleman called Toby Von Judge, 'totie consigliere'. He is well respected within the underworld and has had a meeting with the pope, which was organised by the mafia. He looked at the Lennie Maclean painting (behind) and he said he loved it. I said, 'Your, Honour, it would be a pleasure for me to give you it'. He thanked me, but said his house was so full of masterpieces, that there would be no room to put it.

I had my picture taken with Khizer Khan and twice world heavyweight champion, Tim Witterspoon and sitting at the front was Azar Khan. These are two boxing promoters and uncles to Amire Khan, Olympic gold medallist and professional world champion. They appreciated my art and hopefully in the future we might do business.

Last but not least, my good friend, Decca Heggie, who was fighting for the 'Guvnor' title that night , came over with his father and two friends. When Decca went to the changing rooms, his father bought the Guvnor painting that was behind us for his son. Decca lost on points that night but in the co0ntract the rematch has to be on in Spain. This show was called 'The Road to Spain' because everyone who wins boxes against the Russians in Spain. A big thank you to Jeff Gatsby, the boxing promoter.
