Joe Coleman

My interest in Coleman came about when Charles Salvador advised me to look at his work because he was bordering on genius. Upon looking, I can see similarities with mine. He has narratives in his paintings, and most come with borders. They are very detailed, and very diverse. Much of his work includes violence and pain, which he transfers onto canvas.

Coleman is classed as an 'outsider' artist, which is also what I consider myself to be. Below is a painting of one of Coleman's works.
