Last year I was invited down to London by Jamie McLean. Jamie was creating an autobiographical film about his father, ex Gov'nor Lenny McLean. He asked if I would like to appear as an extra in his work as a member of the crowd cheering on a unsanctioned boxing contest between Lenny McLean and "Pretty Boy" Roy Shaw. The day was exhausting but to be part of this great event was to come part of history in a different art form. The Premier is on June 9th 2017 in York hall, Bethnal Green.
I have created my own version of a promotional poster for the film based on the style that commonly used in the early 1900's for boxing. I have created a composition of my progress through this piece and will document it here so my process can be observed.
